Tai Chi is a form of internal Chinese martial arts practiced for both its defense training and its health benefits. With its characteristic gentle, graceful and expansive movements it is suitable for most people of any age and level of fitness.
These classes are structured to suit all levels of Tai Chi participants either seated or standing, with or without support. Lorraine Andrewes teaches a range of routines from the simplified forms for beginners to the complex routines for the advanced.
Previous experience is not required. We teach Tai Chi starting with the basic techniques, the building blocks, with step-by-step instructions given to new beginners.
We offer classes every Thursday morning at 10am during the school term time. Classes are held in the Community Rooms at 50A Rosebank Road, Avondale. (Just up the road from the clinic.)
For more information and to reserve your place contact the clinic reception on 09 869 2913 or 021 022 96836.
